Knitting sampler/Breirol Part 1

I never wrote a knitting pattern before...so forgive me if I made a mistake or used the wrong word.
Don't hesitate to give me tips, ask questions or whatever....

Nooit eerder schreef ik een breipatroon, dat is toch even anders dan patchwork en quilten. Ik hoor het graag als er vragen zijn. Vooral de Engelse termen vond ik lastig en kon ik niet altijd goed terugvinden.
Nog maar eens verder zoeken op het www.

Sweet Hearts breirol

Benodigdheden

4 bolletjes witte katoen (bijvoorbeeld Catania van Schachenmayr, 50 gr)
restjes rood, roze en oranje
breinaalden (maak een proeflapje voor de juiste naalddikte, zie ook productinformatie)
maasnaald
kabelnaald

Muizentandjes

We beginnen de rol met een muizentand randje.

Zet 44 steken op en brei 5 nld. in tricotsteek, als volgt dus:
1^e nld: averecht
2^e nld: recht
3^e nld: averecht
4^e nld: recht
5^e nld: averecht

 

6^e nld: 2 steken recht, *1 omslag, 2 steken recht samenbreien*, herhaal *.* 20 keer, 1 omslag, 2 st. recht. Er staan nu 45 steken op de naald
7^e nld: alle steken averecht breien

Zijkanten van het werk:

De eerste vier steken en laatste vier steken van het werk zijn vanaf hier steeds hetzelfde en worden in telpatronen niet weer gegeven.

Begin de naald met 2 steken recht, 2 steken averecht.

Eindig de naald met 2 steken averecht, 2 steken recht
Brei de teruggaande nld. de steken zoals ze zich voordoen.

Sweet Hearts breirol 

Deel 1  Hartjes, 3 op een rij

 

Brei 18 nld. in tricotsteek

Tricotsteek: 1 nld. recht, 1 nld. averecht

M= Midden (steek 19 van tricotdeel)

Als de nld. gebreid zijn, kunnen de hartjes er op worden gemaasd. Begin  op de 6^e nld. in het midden. Op de teltekening kun je ook het begin zien van het linker- en rechterhartje. Deze hartjes zijn verder gelijk aan de middelste.

Begin met mazen met de onderste punt en werk heen en weer.

Als de hartjes klaar zijn, kun je het eerste zes naalden van het breiwerk naar achteren omvouwen en vastnaaien. Hiermee is het muizentandje ook klaar.

Materials

4 yarns of white cotton (Cantania by Schachenmayr, 50 gr.)
a little bit of red, pink and orange yarns
needles (the size depends of your thread and way of knitting)
mesh needle
cable needle

Mice in the tooth

We start this sampler with a mice in the tooth edge design
Start with 44 stitches  and knit the first 5 rows:
row 1: purl stitches
row 2: knit stitches
row 3: purl stitches
row 4: knit stitches
row 5: purl stitches

row 6: 2 knit stitches, * 1 yarn over, knit 2 stitches together*, repeat *.* 20 times, 1 yarn over, 2 knit stitches. You have 45 stitches now.

row 7: purl all stitches

Edges of your work

The first 4 and last 4 stitches of the sampler are the same from now on. They are not shown on the charted intstructions.

 

Start the row with 2 knit stitches and 2 purl stitches
End the row with 2 purl stitches and 2 knit stitches
Back: knit what you see!

Knit 18 rows in stockinette

stockinette: 1 row knit stitches, 1 row purl stitches

After finishing this rows, you can embroider the hearts with a v-stitch. I really do not know the right English word, is it mesh stitch?
Start on the 6^th row at the center of your work. On the chart you can see the left and right heart as well (just a small part of it). They are the same as the showed one.
Start at the bottom of the heart and work from left to right and from right to left.

After finishing the hearts, it is time to finish your mice in the tooth edge. Fold to the back and sew.
